It’d be helpful to have a clearer sense of what these specs look like. My experience with Claude is that I can’t actually let it go too long on its own because it needs regular input from me to specify what needs to be done and to give feedback on its work to stay on track (it tries to specification game a lot still, though not as bad as it did before 4.5). Maybe your work is more defined than mine, but I find most of my day is spent on iterating in part to figure out what we want the spec to be.
