Hmmm, I’ve received counter examples, where the utility of an event + it’s negation isn’t zero.
E.g receiving $10,000 vs Not receiving $10,000.
Getting a cookie vs not getting a cookie.
I could redefine the negation of an event in regards to gaining material possessions as losing those material possessions, but would the negative utility be equal to the positive utility? So, I’ve decided to knock off one axiom; “utility of an event + its negation = 0”.
Sum total utility of positive events = 1. Sum total utility of negative events = 1.
The system is preserved. I’ll edit it when I’m on laptop.
