My take on this matter is that camp1 commits a fallacy which stems from the implicit assumption of causal efficacy of consciousness. After tracing the causal chain backwards from behavior, camp1 concludes that there is nothing but cognitive processes to explain. Thinking in this way for example leads to the idea that the utterance of the word consciousness must be caused by the thing itself, while this is by no means necessary. The relation might be just correlational (which I think it is).
