Forgive me if I’m not really getting it—which is entirely possible.
But it seems to me that “the substitution principle” is not really an explanation. All it seems to be saying is that it’s possible to express biases, rewrite their descriptions, in that particular form. It doesn’t describe a mechanism, but is more of a semantic trick, like you’ve bounced off a problem. I can’t possibly imagine making useful predictions based on it.
