Suffice to say, it takes a lot of knowledge and practice to be able to do this in a trustworthy way, and we don’t have any real data showing that even veteran “rationalists” actually do this more effectively.

Oh, it is certainly not a real solution—I doubt whether there is any. But it helps to some degree, in many cases.
