Where do you have in mind? I’ve been committed to a “stay and fight” policy out of a perceived lack of alternatives. (I have my whitelist of personal friends who I trust to be saner than the “rationalist” center of memetic gravity, but there doesn’t seem to be an alternative scene with critical mass for the type of work we do.)
I don’t have a close substitute for LW either, so “elsewhere” is things like my other hobbies.
I guess I’m not much of a fighter, but this shortform is sort of my attempt to potentially shock the mods out of their complacency and/or give people like you more ammunition for your future arguments. (I.e., I considered just disengaging quietly, but felt like I should at least make a post about it.)
Well, I can’t correctly comment on your plans with my current information. As general measures, careful decision making and checking that your Web and E-Mail servers are working correctly seem convergent.
