I can’t remember where I first heard that phrase, but it became a meme over the course of the week.
For what it’s worth, “you can just do things” is a TPOT meme (TPOT being a rationalist adjacent scene on X/Twitter this is simultaneous so over and totally back) that has spread to the Less Wrong community due to extensive overlap. Of course, rationalists were just doing things before, so TPOT can’t take any credit there, but this specific phrase as a meme has its origins with Brooke, the founder of Vibecamp, back about 2 years ago.

Ahh, thanks for the context. I’m not on Twitter so I wouldn’t have known. LO2025 was my first encounter with the phrase.
(I suppose that also answers the mystery of what This Part of Taldor was spoofing in Planecrash, which I’ve wondered about since I first read it)
