I vaguely recall a thread where folks discussed what makes jokes funny, and advanced some theories. This may well have been in an Open Thread or buried deep within the comments of an unrelated post—at any rate I can’t find it.
Anyone who remembers seeing it or participating, I’d appreciate help locating it...
Searching for “humor” turned up too many results, not sorted in any helpful way. The search results are provided by Google, I don’t know how customizable that is but I’d assume not much. What would have helped in this instance is a way to sort by date.

I was able to track it down because I remembered enough about a comment I’d made.
Do we have advanced search?
How about adding (open?) tagging for comments?
