Hello everybody. Stefano Libey is writing. Libey is my lovely nom de plume. I always wish to comprehend how reality works, what reality is or exists as, and my peculiar stand in it. I quite normally use rationality in order to do so. I believe I as a piece of the Intellect cannot do otherwise. To achieve my understanding I am accostumed to handling some instruments, one of which is etymology. I believe that etymon can unveil important, and strikingly illuminating, traits about a word, which I consider to be a vector of behaviour and accomplishment. By saying so, I mean that a word, far from being just a sound production and a mere semantic item, is a concrete conduct, an entity both ambiguous and precise. A fact resonating throughout reality.
Amongst the topics I love to enter into are the following.
– The democracy notion, which I etymologically break up so as to find out the truth it conceals. Democracy is an exceedingly interesting notion because it is generally, and uncritically, embraced as an irrefutably beautiful and irrenounceable idea.
– The religion notion, which I divest of the standardized meaning, so that it may be possible for me to see whether religion hides dangerously somewhere else than the quarters it is usually associated with.
– Aesthetics, with the philosophical meaning of focus on appearance (Germ. ‘der Schein’, ‘die Erscheinung’), the latter being reckoned as a distinction from reality. I do not subscribe to this dichotomy. And in order to illustrate my position I am developing a particular philosophical theoretical framework which attempts to reconcile concepts that are normally viewed as opposites.
Many other themes and meditation grounds mesmerize me. Any concept whotsoever, once it has triggered some curiosity, can take, by means of being deemed as partaking in a causalistic concatenation, its own relevant place in rationality.
I would love to use the LessWrong platform to set forth my perspective on ratio and seminal thoughts of my theory on the Intellect.
Reflecting upon democracy is my way to start scratching the surface of LessWrong to the core.
