I quite like swearing, but I don’t think it primes people to think and respond rationally in general, and is usually best avoided. Like wedrifid, I’m inclined to argue for an exception for “bullshit”, which is a term of art.
I advocate the use of the term Bullshit. Both because it a good description of a significant form of bias and because the profanity is entirely appropriate. I really, really don’t like seeing the truth distorted like that.
More generally I don’t particularly object to swearing but as RobinZ notes it can be distracting. I don’t usually find much use for it.
