Caviat: Having only read the sequence this far, I don’t know if this is covered later. I have a belief in faith that I think is rational. By faith I mean a belief that I cannot prove or disprove. I do not, however, mean blind faith. By having faith that a desired outcome is possible, I am motivated to take actions that I believe would increase the probability of this outcome. In fact, by declaring this belief, I often elicit arguments against it that can be added to the map, evaluated, refined, and used to avoid pitfalls, increasing my ability improve the probability of the desired outcome.
