Is it worthwhile to spend this effort instead of going along with the cultural script? It’s a mildly selfish perspective, you would want someone to spend the effort to improve the culture if poly really is better than mono. Then again, pretty much all of the people who would be better off in such a culture maintain the current one and make it take a lot of effort to go against the grain… why do they deserve for you to fight them to make their lives better? This, of course, misses the tiny percent of people who think (or will think) like you but are 10 years younger, but you could make a larger impact there by just giving advice to those people whenever you meet them.
