I like the bonus sections as they encourage participants to grapple with the material in a more open-ended, research-oriented way. That said, there are quite a few of them—if I had to prioritize, which ones have people found most insightful?
My impression was that people in the in-person program mostly didn’t have enough time to do these. In any case, I do not know, and recommend just doing those bonus parts that seem personally exciting to you :)
