I’ve been doing a lot of what you describe as “directed research” myself lately as I’m learning more about DL-specific projects and I’ve been learning much faster than when I was just doing cursory, half-assed paper skimming, alongside my cogsci projects. Would love to catch up over a call sometime to talk about stuff we’re working on now
