Based on my understanding of physics, I have no way to discriminate between a 1⁄10 chance of 10 simulations and a certainty of one simulation (what do I care whether the simulations are in the same Everett branch or not?). I don’t think I would want to anyway; they seem identical to me morally.
Moreover, living 10x as long seems strictly better than having 10x as many simulations. Minimally, I can just forget everything periodically and I am left with 10 simulations running in different times rather than different places.
The conclusion of the garden path seems perfectly reasonable to me.
