Do you know or did you think about how this could affect his schooling? With these kind of things—teaching kids stuff early—I’m always kind of afraid, as they may get super bored when in the pre-school or school they have to “learn again” (see how the others learn) these skills. And getting super bored early in the schooling process doesn’t sound like the best motivator for their schooling future.
Maybe whether it is a problem or not depends on whether the teacher realizes the kid knows the stuff and could even help classmates with the learning -or managing it well in any other way. I don’t know. Do you have thoughts about this?
I have a pretty strong negative reaction to the idea of deliberately holding my child back so they’re less bored when around kids who aren’t as skilled.
I’d much rather handle that problem in some other way.
