Inspiring! Thanks for sharing! I have an 18 month old and we’re just starting to work on letter sounds and one, two, three (all recognition, he can only speak a handful of words ATM). Haven’t tried screens/Anki apps for learning yet, interesting idea. Our repetition is certainly spaced but not optimally right now haha.
He loves to play, listen to music, have me read to him, and loses interest quickly with more rote learning so I’ve been integrating progressive literacy/numeracy into those as much as possible.
Would love to see your decodable books: digitized, photos of the pages, whatever’s easiest for you and could help jumpstart another young parent with ChatGPT and Amazon Prime in the right direction :)
Would also be curious to hear more about how the “teaching” went/is going for you before 2 yrs!
Seems good! I wasn’t really trying to do letters with my younger one until he had more words. Starting with letter sounds and playing with magnet letters or letter blocks is a good way to get them interested.
