For example, public choice theory predicts increased corruption and self-dealing (like the monopolies that kings granted to friends and political insiders). Moldbug thinks this will be avoided via “vote with your feet,” but doesn’t explain why the government would allow this remedy when it doesn’t allow any other remedy.
