Consider this: Our very physical brains control stuff like, well, us talking about consciousness.
Am I to assume then that my conscious experiences, and what I say about them have no connection? My consciousness isn’t in the chain of causality leading to be, well, typing about it? If it is beyond the material, then how is it that my physical brain managed to notice it, hrmmm?
It seems reasonable to suppose that consciousness, among other things, can be in part described as some of the processes involved in, well, leading us to talk about consciousness.
I fully admit, I can’t really imagine even what form the actual explanation of consciousness may take. I fully admit that I’m profoundly confused about this, that there doesn’t seem to be any type of explanation that I can imagine.
And yet there seems a rather compelling argument in favor of the idea that somehow it arises from physical processes, and not in a removable property-dualism/epiphenominalism way.
