I imagine that the attitude depends on your own personal attitude to being fired.
For me it’s like a much much less severe version of a breakup—basically, okay, it’s not working out, you don’t want me any more, fine.
Outside of, like, the very brief window immediately after I moved out as an adult, the loss of income is more like a “guess my numbers go up more slowly now” rather than a catastrophe. I know that a lot of people tend to spend ~everything though, that just sounds stressful in general.
Interesting. Yeah, I’m very ok with being fired myself. Each time it’s happened, I’ve very much understood where they were coming from—I was just late repeatedly.
