I have not actually finished reading Gwerns post on Guardian Angels, but it slotted right into what I am currently thinking about and will finish reading it soon. I think guardian angels could work? I think genetically enhanced humans could be a more robust way (in the sense of robustly preserving values I care about) to scale humanity, but it is probably too slow unless we stop scaling digital compute so fast, so I am looking for second options. Also I am not only concerned about scaling in the long-term. I am also worried about my own future security and sanity in the shortterm.
