😆 I’m Junyao Ye, 叶峻峣 in Chinese, and I like to use Jarrett Ye as my English name.
🏫 I’m a graduate CS major at Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen.
🔭 I’m currently working as a research engineer in Maimemo Inc.
🌱 I’m developing an algorithm of spaced repetition (FSRS) and simulator of human memory.
👯 I’m the founder of Thoughts Memo, a translation group that spreads educational technology.
💬 Ask me about Anki or SuperMemo, I’m a diehard flashcard fan!
🧑🎓 My representative papers are published on ACM SIGKDD and IEEE TKDE.

The History of FSRS for Anki
By default, Anki will aim for revision intervals/frequencies that give you a 90% chance of remembering each card correctly.
By default, Anki uses SM-2 algorithm, which doesn’t aim for any retention level.
Have you tried the new scheduling algorithm FSRS in Anki? It would improve your experience with spaced repetition. It’s also interesting how it will learn from your review logs of two years.
