Meet inside The Shops at Waterloo Town Square—we will congregate in the indoor seating area next to the Your Independent Grocer with the trees sticking out in the middle of the benches (pic) at 7:00 pm for 15 minutes, and then head over to my nearby apartment’s amenity room. If you’ve been around a few times, feel free to meet up at the front door of the apartment at 7:30 instead.
Description
This week, a constable from the Waterloo Region Police Services has agreed to come hang out for a bit and get badgered with questions! This is a casual, informal Q&A session where you can ask practical and not-so-practical questions about the day to day realities of policing in the region and maybe even get some answers.
I’ll start a thread in the discord where we can all toss in questions and they can get like, upvoted and downvoted, I guess? But this isn’t necessary and you can fully just #nofilter it up and ask whatever you want at the meetup at your own peril.
Readings
Optional, but here’s some recent stuff from WRPS that could be interesting to review before the meetup.
If you could read only one piece, prioritize the budget report.
WRPS 2024 Annual Report (the Year in Review and the Performance and Our Impact in Numbers sections are particularly interesting)
