Come on out to the ACX (Astral Codex Ten) Montreal Meetup! This week, we’re discussing counterpoints and disagreements to last meetup’s reading, AI 2027. What are the main reasons to expect automation to come slower than in the modal timeline described in AI-2027?

Reminder about the upcoming AI 2027 tabletop exercise. It consists of 8–12 active players who take on different roles, such as the US president, the frontier company CEO, China, or the company’s alignment team, and aim to accurately simulate what actions their actor would take throughout 2027. The expression of interest form is here. We need a few more people.
