Meet on the ground floor of QNC, on or near the gray slab benches at 7:20ish, and a regular will let everyone into a room in IQC for 7:30 pm. You can see the precise location on plus.codes. The benches are near the Ring Road entrance, and across the hall from an orange-tinted lab space.
As always, vegetarian snacks will be provided.
Activity
People often think of prepping as being necessarily about the apocalypse, bunkers and mushroom clouds and remote self-sufficient homesteads.
But not all disasters are apocalyptic! Every life has its rough patches. Sometimes there’s an ice storm and your power goes out for a couple days, or your only toilet breaks, or the Windsor employees are on strike and salt is hard to come by for six months, or Rogers fucks up the Internet connection to the entire country again. Sometimes you get laid off and need to make ends meet until you can figure out a new plan. Occasionally, there is an epidemic, or just a high-end-of-normal surge in infection rates when you have places to be next week and can’t afford to get sick. Every once in a while, this being southern Ontario, there may even be a tornado.
This isn’t prepping for doomsday. It is, as they say, prepping for Tuesday, and it’s what we’ll be talking about this week.
