This year’s ACX Meetup everywhere in Central, Hong Kong.
Location: 3rd Wave Art Studio, Room B, 2/F, Hollywood Building, 186 Hollywood Rd, Sheung Wan (https://plus.codes/7PJP74PX+38). The entrance is on Upper Station Street.
Note that the original venue was The Catalyst, 2 Po Yan Street, Sheung Wan (https://plus.codes/7PJP74PW+6XF). Unfortunately, due to water damage, we have to use the alternative venue above.

Thanks everyone for coming! For those of you who couldn’t make it—I’ve started a WhatsApps group containing people who signed up at the meetup. We can use it to discuss e.g. plans for future meetups, Scott’s posts, and any other topics that might be of interest to the ACX reader. According to HKO the signal will not go above T3 today (https://www.hko.gov.hk/textonly/warning/ea.htm). So, it might be a bit windy/rainy but we should be able to go ahead. Look forward to seeing you all later today!
How much earlier can I come to the venue? Estimating when should I leave my home.
I’ll be there from around 2:30 to collect the keys.
Unfortunately the person I’m collecting the keys from is running15 mins late so we won’t be able to get in until 2:45. I’ll still be there at 2:30 though
I just got on A11 from the Bridge station, so everything should be ok.
If the typhoon signal is raised from T3 to T8 signal, I guess we’ll have to cancel. Luckily that is not looking likely right now.
Yep, hope the typhoon doesn’t disrupt things too much! I live on the island so I’ll be there anyway :-)
Depends on the typhoon :/. I have no idea whether I can come from Macau on Saturday.
(does anyone here understand the typhoon data well enough to tell me whether it may actually be problematic or I am worrying too much.)
I have updated the event to show that we are going to use the alternative venue at 3rd Wave Art Studio, Room B, 2/F, Hollywood Building, 186 Hollywood Rd, Sheung Wan. This is because the original location has suffered water damage :-(
