I’ve been listening to a podcast (Skeptically Speaking) talking with a fellow named Sherman K Stein, author of Survival Guide for Outsiders. I haven’t read the book, but it seems that the author has a lot of good points about how much weight to give to expert opinions.
EDIT: Having finished listening, I revise my opinion down. It’s still probably worth reading, but wait for it to get to the library.
