Oxford Rationalish—April Pub—mini ACX Meetups Everywhere

Oxford Rationalish monthly-ish pub social! Meet interesting people, chat interesting chat.

This is the spring “Schelling” meeting: if you want to sync up with other who only want to come every few months, then come to this one. It’ll also be slightly more highlighted on the Astral Codex Ten blog.

Normally we just chat about whatever comes up. Past topics of conversation have included AI alignment, fiction writing, what you’d tell your past or future self, collaborative disagreement, calibrating personal predictions (how to measure and improve your own predictions), decision theory (Newcomb’s paradox, Parfit’s hitchhiker, etc), miscellaneous tech stuff (web3, GPT3, etc), animal husbandry (how to flip a goat, and why), and much much more.

We’ll be in the room round the back, with a sign :)
