My general position on Descartes is that Descartes was right but unable to properly explain himself. I was able to replicate dual substances and his proof of the existence of god (in some sense), but they look very different.
Certainly I ended up carrying out rule X.
I think a proper linnean taxonomy of logical operations would be extremely useful. I wish I had thought of trying to make it at the start of the process instead of at the end. As I’m sure you’re aware, there’s all sorts of fun tricks you can do. Imagine having them all written down in one place.
