I don’t see any problem with panpsychism, if we assume that we should count only observers who can think about anthropics. For example, if you are reading this now, you are not asleep and not a cat.
In that case, only two alternative seems true:
Bite the bullet. We are are typical civilization and all civilizations decline. There is no supercivilization, simulations etc. So there is no surprising to be us and the doom is soon.
We are part of a simulation and the superciviliation tries to ensure that past simulations have high measure. E.g. to win measure war against evil AI and prevent s-risks.
