If you can notice when you’re confused, how do you notice when you’re ignorant?
I actually have a specific feeling associated with everything clicking together. If I don’t have that feeling, my model does not perfectly explain everything which means there’s something I’m not considering. In that case, I go looking for alternative hypotheses.
