Thanks for the good words about my personality! I appreciate how you highlight the status issues. This might be a failure at other minds for me. I have a really difficult time imagining starting InIn as a status grab by someone. It’s a huge, huge ton of work to start a nonprofit organization and make it work. I’ve been working for 50-60 hours a week on it, in addition to my regular job as a professor, and invested abut $30K into it, without expecting anything in return.
Regard posting, I was a lurker before starting Intentional Insights. I wanted to wait until I had a worthwhile project before starting to post. InIn was started about 6 months before I actually started to post.

Also, just because people don’t like it when others grab status, doesn’t make grabbing status morally good or bad in itself. Harry grabs status all over the place in HPMoR, and certain people hate him for it, but this doesn’t change the fact that he’s the good guy.
